AUTHENTIC BARI COOKING CLASS

Do you love Mediterranean cuisine? Would you enjoy getting hands-on in the kitchen? Dreaming of a private cooking class in a secret location?
Imagine combining these three ingredients to create one of the most iconic dishes from Bari’s culinary tradition. Bold flavors that delight the palate, ancient recipes passed down with love, and simple ingredients that celebrate the richness of Puglia’s land.
In an intimate and hidden location in the beating heart of Bari’s old town, a local food expert will welcome you. Here, you’ll dive into an experience filled with the warmth of home, family stories, and authentic tradition.
The menu? You’ll choose one or two of these iconic dishes:
-
Fave e cicoria, the ultimate peasant dish. We’ll prepare a creamy fava bean purée, served with lightly blanched wild chicory and a drizzle of rich local extra virgin olive oil.
-
Bari-style panzerotto, the king of local street food. From handmade dough to the classic tomato and mozzarella filling, we’ll make it from scratch—and enjoy it piping hot, with smiles and the irresistible aroma of fried goodness.
-
Potatoes, rice, and mussels (Tiella barese), a legendary dish where land and sea come together in perfect harmony. Layer by layer, we’ll follow the traditional technique passed down through generations.
-
Freshly baked bread, made with your own hands and dressed with Puglian extra virgin olive oil: simple, fragrant, and deeply authentic. The scent of the oven and the soul of tradition in one bite.
Once the cooking is done, we’ll take time to enjoy what we’ve prepared together, paired with a glass of local wine and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
